Duuya has been my guide on several trips to Mongolia. She is organized, an excellent problem-solver and always so professional. I am a photographer and have gone to Mongolia on several trips to photograph landscapes and cultures. On my first trip in 2019, I spent a month in Mongolia with her in mid-winter on a very adventurous trip that put us in sub-zero temperatures while camping in Tsaatan tee-pees. Despite the cold, she worked so hard to help me get the pictures that I wanted. I learned so much from her about Mongolian culture and history. She took me to the Tsaatan twice: once in winter and once in the summer. Both were very adventurous trips and she helped to create a friendship with the Tsaataan that I will never forget.
On another occasion, we spent a month tracking snow leopards which was also in winter. She was in excellent shape and was able to hike and guide a very difficult trip which included long steep hikes all day. She knows her country and its history and is so happy give everyone an understanding of how special Mongolia really is. She is an outstanding guide and I will always make sure that I travel with her on my future projects!

Duuya was our tour guide on our 12-day trip to Mongolia. We were very blessed by her professional approach, and her wide-ranging knowledge which ranged from Mongolian history, culture, geography, local plants and animals to name some examples. Our Mongolia trip was a spectacular adventure, with special thanks and the highest rating possible to our personal guide, Duuya. She did a wonderful job planning activities, handling logistics and providing valuable information & insight into Mongolian history, arts & culture.
In Ulaanbaatar we toured a Buddhist monastery, the National History Museum, shopped for cashmere and attended a performance of traditional music & shamanistic dances. Duuya also chose a nice variety of restaurants for lunches and dinners during our days in the capital city.
Duuya was an excellent leader in the Mongolian countryside, as we hiked Vulture Valley in the Gobi Beauty Mountains, visited the Flaming Cliffs, climbed the steep trail to ancient petroglyphs at Khavtsgait, and rode camels in the Khongor sand dunes. She even arranged a personal visit to the home (ger) of the camel herding family.
In Bayan Ulgii, her intimate knowledge and language skills helped us experience the Golden Eagle festival up close & personal. We stayed in a camp with famous Eagle hunters to better understand the special relationship between the hunters & their eagles, and once again visited a local family in their ger.
All in all it was an incredible trip, and I can’t say enough good things about the service provided by our local guide Duuya.

I recently returned from a challenging trip to Mongolia visiting some more remote regions. Fortunately, I had the most exceptional guide in Duya.
